Cr12MoV
Chinese Standard Cold Work SteelA widely used global standard for cold work tooling. Cr12MoV offers properties very similar to D2 but at a more accessible price point. It contains slightly less Vanadium, making it easier to grind but with slightly lower wear resistance than premium D2.

High Carbon High Chrome (HcHcr)The original wear-resistant die steel. D3 contains massive carbide volume due to its high carbon content (2.10%). It provides maximum compressive strength and abrasion resistance but has lower toughness than D2. Best for rigid tools where impact is minimal.
